New Second Vice Chair

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) will be reviewing Governor Polis' and State Dem's overreaching gun control legislation, SB25-003; the bill bans the manufacture, sale, or purchase of semi-automatic rifles that have detachable magazines unless a series of extensive training courses and additional permitting is obtained.  In a letter sent to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, 22 State House Republicans said, "Because of the unconstitutionality as well as the imminent risk posed to Coloradans by eliminating their right to firearms as a means for self-defense, it is our belief that the passage of SB25-003 constitutes an emergency for our state and calls for federal intervention."
